Greetings from Washinton, DC!

okay, so right now i'm actually in virginia, but hey! i'm pretty close and spent most of my day today in the city! i took the metro after church and caught the st. paddy's day parade (lots of fun with 2 different bagpipe groups), and then i sat outside the natural history museum and ate my sack lunch. (one of the most recent things i've learned while here: the smithsonian is not just one museum! it's a whole bunch! today i saw one and part of another one.) after finishing my lunch i noticed i was sitting across from the dept. of justice building so i took a few snapshots before heading into the natural history museum.

after leaving the natural history museum i took some shots of the smithsonian castle (my aunt tells me this is where many of their offices and administrative staff works) before heading next door to the national history museum (american history and culture-related stuff). i only made it through one part before closing time, but this will be on my itinerary sometime in the next 2 days!
